The foundation of all swimming — entry, floating, buoyancy and controlled breathing. Brian takes exactly as long as needed here before moving forward.

Stroke technique — built correctly

Front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke — developed from the ground up with technique corrected before poor habits can embed. No shortcuts.

Progression, turns & endurance

For stronger swimmers — efficiency, flip turns, stamina and open water awareness. Brian coaches recreational families and competitive swimmers alike across WD6.

Elstree is right on my doorstep — I coach at the 25m pool in Borehamwood and travel to home pools all around WD6. The village end of Elstree, around Allum Lane and Barnet Lane, has some lovely private pools. Coaching someone at home means I can tailor the whole session to them, in water they already feel safe in.
